Hi all! I really love this guy! I keep looking at him and wondering
if I did the right thing by putting him up for auction. He IS on the
large side, but the colors came out pretty good. I'm a lot like Lara,
every new bead is my favorite!

Kim

Great bead. He is very warm looking and is great for fall. I don't know
what it is, but always with a new favorite. At least we are liking what we
make.

Thank you all! One of these days I might make something else, but
these are so much fun to do!! They take anywhere from one and a half
to two hours each, so by the time I am done with one of them, I am
ready for a break and nothing else gets done! I do have a set in mind
that I want to do, but it will have to wait until this weekend or when
the weather is a little cooler!! I really do appreciate the
compliments from you all. I figure the folks here really know what
they are doing when it comes to beads (and other things, too!)!! I
have seen so much beautiful work here!

Absolutely stunning... I love the red copper green one you did, too,
will you be putting him up for auction?

And... I know how annoying it can be when people make suggestions for
design elements, but calling them "him" has made me think of my favorite
thing about seahorses; that the males become pregnant and give birth.
Have you ever considered trying to depict seahorse parenthood on a bead?
Baby seahorses would be a challenge, but OMG it would be soooo sweet!

Hi Kalera!!
I am not sure about the Copper Green guy on Ebay. He is kind of
"unusual" to say the least. Better in person, I think. But I need to
take a couple more photos to see.
I HAVE thought of the baby seahorses, but just haven't done it yet. I
thought of putting the male on the front of the bead with a couple of
little ones, then lots of tiny guys on the back. Baby seahorse are so
cool! They seem to be all eyes! It would be kind of time consuming,
but these beads take a long time anyway. Or, it might work better in
the round - on a large bicone or tube bead. What do you think???

Wow, he's gorgeous! That's a perfect size to cup in your hand and roll
it around and peek at it's beauty...like a smooth river rock you fondle
to sooth your nerves...
