Default Polly's gators

Okay, we'll all have to get busy here. One of Polly's gators is getting
so hungry for inept medical staff, rotten salespeople, etc., that it
tried to ring a doorbell to enter a home! I saw it on the news this
morning....

Default Polly's gators, LONG

Don't worry, I am sending her gators a RUDE bill collector. Yeah, yeah, I
know, that's the job they chose, but when someone is telling you they can't
make arrangements right now because they have to get off the phone cause
their tornado sirens are going off, listen to them!!! A bill collector
called in the middle of a bad storm. The payment is coming next week, I told
them. Even gave the check number. They said it wasn't good enough, and they
wanted to take care of it over the phone, sorry Toni doesn't do that....The
sirens went off and I told them I had to go, they said the bill had been
with them long enough, liar since I just changed long distance carriers a
month ago, and it had to be taked care of. I said, "Look, my TORNADO sirens
are going off, I am sure you can hear them. I need to get the baby and get
to safety." And I hung up. Like I care about a stupid $40 long distance bill
when the sirens are going off!!!
Okay, done ranting, sorry!

Default Polly's gators

Okay, here's something for those nice gators. The tech support staff at
Pinnacle Systems, my video recording software manufacturer.

I have spend tons of hours in the last 2 - 3 trying to get this thing to
work, and undoing computer crashes that happened when following THEIR
directions.

Their latest fiasco was telling me to disconnect all USB devices from my
computer (excuse me? one of these is my mouse, one is my keyboard....), then
telling me to go into the Device Manager and uninstalling a whole list of
USB controllers. WHAT!! Again, that includes my mouse, etc. Of course, I
didn't unplug the mouse our the keyboard, or even the printers. But I tried
to follow their instuctions for uninstalling the usb controllers. I
understood that they were going for a clean install of the hardware drivers
for recording the videos. BING - I hit the one for the mouse (which isn't
labeled as such) and uninstalled it. Was dead in the water.

I hit the off button and held it in, and it went off. Waited a few seconds.
Then turned it back on. Nothing! I was fuming, and near to panic-tears. I
turned it back off and went walking around the house. When I came back I
turned the monitor off, then on, then turned the computer back on. Whew. I
was up.

Okay, then I skipped to uninstall - reinstall software directions. It took
about three hours. AND - you guessed it. It still won't work. I told them
I was ready to can it, and also expressed my opinion of their tech support
directions. Polly, take 'em out for dinner.

Big sigh, and end of rant.
Boy, do I feel better! Thanks, Sandy, for being my enabler and starting
this thread! : )

I wonder if they would accept an international food supply. I have a
few candidates from a telecom company that I would gladly send!!

Something like that happened when I lived in Florida. A neighbor went
out to get his paper, and a 6-foot gator was sitting on it. He called
Dept of Wildlife or something. Because of the shape of the courtyard
where the front door was, the gator could not be turned around. So he
had to be chased/escorted through the house to get out the sliding glass
door in the back, and back to the pond a street or two over.

Not something I'd ever want to deal with before coffee.
