We heard not so long ago that friends of ours who live in Switzerland have
had a baby girl. Of course my first thought was that she absolutely
needed a quilt. Finished it last night and took some pics this morning,
ably assisted by my Quilt Model son Rory, who thinks that it looks good as
a skirt.... Never would normally think of putting pink and green together,
but I think it has worked rather well.

Piggy-backing on Polly's post here....
Pretty cute! The quilt's not bad either! It's nice to have
quilting helpers, isn't it? You can send him to Dundee, if you need a
wee rest. Auntie Jo will go outside and play with him in the
too-cold-too-wet weather.

Beautiful quilt and an adorable gingerhaired young man. Sounds like he is
like most boys and his horns uphold his halo quite well. Hug him now
because he'll grow up much too quickly.

How sweet! I love pink and green together and have done two, one softer and
one brighter. But how're you gonna get that quilt away from that adorable
Rory?

Carole, where is Champlain? We're in Plattsburgh (just arrived mid July so
don't know the area yet).

Nice quilt, and what a handsome model! What a cutie! Thank you for
sharing. She will love it, hoping of course that you can take it away
from
Rory! lol

Fine style does not make something true, nor has a man a wise soul
because he has a handsome face and well-chosen eloquence.

Welcome Heidi! Champlain is 20 minutes from Plattsburgh - north close to
the Canadian border. Hum.... maybe you can be my buddy for going to the
guild meeting. They have a guild in Plattsburgh that meets every 2nd Wed of
the month. I've been postponing attending. There is one quilt shop on
Boyton Ave and a Joann's which I'm sure you found given that it's next to
Wal-Mart. Give me a shout, perhaps we can meet for coffee.
