I think you qualify as an honorary quilter Frank. You know more about
buying quilt-y gifts than the average SO. If you don't mind, I think we should let you stay. Besides, Brenda quilts and I assume a pin with her name on it would sit pretty close to the one for you, no? The admin questions have slowed down a lot and really only take me away from the tedious jobs in quilting like pin basting. There always seems to be enough time to plan, shop, sew up the first "test" block, try out different settings ... :-) Anne in CA annerudolph AT comcast DOT net "It's not having what you want; it's wanting what you've got." -- Sheryl Crow http://community.webshots.com/user/annerudolph3 http://www.frappr.com/rctq flytyer37 wrote: "I just checked and there are 202 people pinned as of 6:50 am PST. How much quilting time could you be getting in if you weren't doing such a wonderful job administrating this thing? I'm sure it will slow down in time. Again, great job. Frank Reid |

That fly fisherman looks ok to us Frank : )
How is that table coming along for your wife? Is that what you finally decided to go with for her Christmas present? Well, my list of "Frank's Most Wanted Xmas Gifts for Quilters" will be
out and posted to RCTQ this weekend. I may do the table, we'll see. Priorities right now go to preparing for Thanksgiving (I cook), an international fly tying symposium this Saturday in New Jersey, working at the Baltimore Ravens football game for my daughter's high school marching band fundraiser on Sunday, spackling and painting the wall in the living room Saturday night, baking 10 dozen oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies Friday for a craft sale on Saturday, catsitting the neighbors' fuzzy bits for the week, all whilst designing a cryptographically secure network for up to 5 million users (due the week after Thanksgiving). No wonder Brenda and daughter are leaving town Friday. They don't want to be around when I implode. Frank Reid |

He loves his saxophones - has one of every flavor except baritone, which he played for a while in high school. He was on the recruiting poster for the jazz ensemble and combo this year - and I'm still begging for a copy of it!! Being in marching band was a real advantage at his school - he was allowed to move in to his dorm a week early for band camp. It was so much calmer, and the other band members helped him move in. Plus he had instant friends. I don't know if you're familiar with the band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi, or sorority, Tau Beta Sigma, but he's had a lot of good experiences there too. They are "honorary" fraternities - no frat house involved (!) and for some reason both boys and girls are accepted into either one. Yes, girls in the fraternity and sometimes boys in the sorority! I have not been able to figure this out yet, but it seems to work for them, and they do service projects together. Bret's high school band was non-competing, but a pretty good band anyway. Good luck to her this weekend! Iris |

I mean, if you know the first and second line of my address from the RCTQ directory, and you have this map, you very well *could* plan stash raid. Time to take that nice photo of my stash cupboard off the internet, methinks. -- Jo in Scotland |
