Okay. Seriously Earnest Dianne doesn't know what to do with this,
Karen. It's not in my dictionary sigh. If it's a joke, will somebody
explain?
Signed,
Desparate in Wisconsin

Here's the closest I came to charientism from Merriam Webster on line:
One entry found for chariness.

Main Entry: char·i·ness
Pronunciation: 'char-E-n&s, 'cher-
Function: noun
Date: 1571
1 : the quality or state of being chary : CAUTION
2 : carefully preserved state : INTEGRITY
Charientism Charientism

You and Lucille are something else. What troopers.
But how did "caution" become veiled insult?

It came from The Superior Person's Book of Words, some of which I know to be
real words. It's not in my Big Fat Dictionary, but that doesn't mean it's not
in the Oxford Unabridged.

Oh, I just love that bookG My copy is at work.

Another good word (although not from there) is bellybone as in, "My
girlfriend is bellybone"

It's a corruption of the french phrase belle et bonne.
