However, those machines don't do embroidery designs. No, but I don't recall the OP saying that they wanted an embroidery machine. |

I didn't see the original post, but I did see Jan's reply, that did talk
about embroidery designs. -- Wendy http://griffinsflight.com/Quilting/quilt1.htm de-fang email address to reply "Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply" wrote in message ... frood wrote: However, those machines don't do embroidery designs. In article , Pogonip of Send abuse or DMCA complaints to uttered The embroidery news group and email lists are full of posters who have a low-end embroidery/sewing machine that was their "starter" machine. Odd. I do loads of machine embroidery, mostly with a gear-driven Singer 201 - and the most exciting thing that does stitch-wise is sew backwards. Yes, I have done, too. I keep one of my 201s set up with an embroidery foot and lowered feed dogs and use it for mending and "thread painting." But I also have a Singer EU hooked up to a laptop to do embroidery. My theory is that if it's a "one-off" I do it by free motion. If I want identical repeats, then the Singer EU is better. Now I have an XL6000 to play with. Which does not mean I'm getting rid of my 201s, 101, 66s, 99s, 301s, 306, 115, 15, 128, 129, 221s, or my Pfaff 30, 332, 1475, W & G, ...well....you see what I mean.... -- Joanne @ stitches @ singerlady.reno.nv.us http://bernardschopen.tripod.com/ Life is about the journey, not about the destination. |

I consider it rescue, though, and not acquisition. Though once rescued, they do need a place to stay. Sometimes people come by and take one or more away.
