Ummmm I've spent HOURS today trying to figure out how to clean up a logo
with a graphics programs so I can then try to figure out how to digitize it for my embroidery machine. My manuals are bents and my brain is fried and no stitch out yet. I'm working on two twin size I Spy quilts. These are my first full size
quilts so we'll see how it goes! So far I have all the squares cut out for both quilts and I've started cutting and piecing the sashings for one of them. I also have patterns and plans on making a Christmas wall hanging and buffet runner but I've not gotten anywhere with those yet. I am *very* impressed by everything all the rest of you have in the works! Some days it's all I can do to get home from work and get dinner and laundry but I try to work a little each day on the quilts. I love hearing about and seeing what everyone else is doing! Dragging out PIGS or finishing up UFOs and WIPS or have new quilts started appearing? I'm still working on the queen size LC borders, getting ready to MQ the siggy quilt, plotting the next borders on DDs quilt, and playing with layouts for Mike's 'Things go better with Coke" quilt. Sometime in the middle of those I need to design and make two quilted Christmas stockings. Lets hear your list! They are all very nice, but I love the pillow, Betty!
Dee in LeRoy, NY "Betty in Wi" wrote in message ... Pictures up!!! http://community.webshots.com/user/bertevan Yes Diana you can borrow my chicken pattern. Unfortunately I don't have "e" pictures of it. If you do a google search for chicken pincushion you will find a pattern---but no written instructions. Betty "Diana Curtis" wrote in message ... Any chance I could get a copy of the chicken pattern from you, or borrow it? Will you get a chance to take pictures of the quilts for the show before they go? Id love to see your work. See you at the llllllama running! Diana |

Sometimes the thrill of getting a whole block made before going to work was
enough to make it worth while. Im at home with a fun 3 year old now. I have more time to quilt than some, less than others. Its kind of like that AA philosophy, its not how much you quilt, or how often, but what happens when you do. When you squeeze in time, it makes you happy, yes? Thats the important part. Good luck on your first full sized quilts! whoohooo! Diana -- Heart and soul can make up for technical lacking in any form of art, but let the heart be lacking and all the perfection means nothing. Finished a blouse last night, I have some blocks to paper piece for a QU
class, I need to sew a billion 1/2 square triangles together for a mystery quilt I'm doing with my quilt group, and I still have to start work on the baby quilt for my new nephew. I've got 2 hand quilting projects going -- a big one for at home and a
small one for taking along to appointments and on the road: A queen size jewel box quilt for my bed A crib quilt made from blocks my mother embroidered I'm at machine quilting a shadow box wall hanging. Last week I machine quilted 2 lap quilts and 2 crib quilts. (Pictures later) I tend to wait until I have a few tops to quilt and do them all at once because I don't have enough room in my sewing room to machine quilt anything larger than a small crib quilt or wall hanging, so I have to move my machine out to the dining room. I am at piecing a wall hanging that I started in a class with Gail Garber at the Minnesota Quilt Show in June. I'm waiting for it to tell me what else it wants/needs. I have 4 bed-size tops waiting to be quilted. Next project is a Halloween costume for my granddaughter. That will probably take priority over quilting for a bit.
