These days I need to snatch any minute I can. When I lived alone, I'd
have at least an hour in the evening after supper and on Sunday afternoons. Today I'm home alone and had a whole 3 hours to quilt. I've finally finished piecing all the blocks for my top. Just need to put them together now, and do the appliqué. Maureen AliceW wrote: Are you a morning person or a night owl? What time of the day do you find you are most productive with your quilting? |

Morning person -- After getting family out of the house, walking the dog,
giving the house cleaning chores a lick and a promise, then reading this ng , I get to quilt from late morning to late afternoon. Window faces south west, so lately the late afternoon is brilliant. Evenings in front of TV I can do "mindless" hand work -- no quilting, but binding counts as mindless, as does knitting. Hmmmmm regular I reckon I'm a nightie. Once the kidlets are a-bed I bring
the coffee and "snackies" onto the cat pole next to my recliner, whack the old footrest out, stable table on my knee and start a sewing. Although that's not to say I won't sew during the day if'n the kids are enthralled with the computer then I'm known to put in a stitch or two. -- Sharon From Melbourne Australia (Qof DU) http://www.geocities.com/shazrules/index.html Member of the Houston 2004 Party Animals "AliceW" wrote in message ... I'm not always productive, as I tend to nod off over my hand quilting. On the weekends, I tend to quilt in the early am and late afternoon. lisae |

I get my housework chores done first thing (I hate them, so I have to do them first in order to get them done at all g) and then quilt after I've read the NG and my email. If I'm working, I squeeze in the quilting wherever I can. -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas my ISP is earthlink.net http://home.earthlink.net/~s-foster |

I like that Idea. I will have to try it some time... could save a few
cuts and pokes if I take this advise. juliasb Diana Curtis wrote: 9 out of 10 doctors recommend you get some sleep. I used to have a nice little program going for myself, sew in the morning, paint in the afternoon, do everything else in between and in the evenings. Nowdays, I seem to be everywhere at once doing everything I want to do in the cracks in between all the gottas. Most often I am finding myself doing all my assorted sewing between 2:00 and 6:00 in the morning. NightMist sleep? Mornings mostly. As soon as the coffee kicks in. Evenings are out except
for a bit of hand sewing in front of the TV, I'm pretty much asleep in the chair by 10 or 11 at night. Roberta in D "AliceW" wrote in : Are you a morning person or a night owl? What time of the day do you find you are most productive with your quilting? |
