today's accomplsihment

Well, I finished my friends HUG today and sent it to another friend to
be quilted....she is more than generous to do this, but I can't
comfortably quilt anything larger than a crib size quilt with accuracy.
NOw I need to finish the last few squares on Baby Rebekah's quilt...if
I get it done in time, it will be going to the hospital with us.

In non-quilt related news....the walls of my bedroom are now completely
painted. I also got started on the baseboard trim...DH helped me pick
out the "right" shade of blue.....not the one that was part of the
sample color scheme from teh Behr paint computer center. It is much
lighter than the one that was part of the color scheme, yet, it brings
more light into the room.....and it highlights the lighter blue in the
new curtains that I made.

I can't decide what kind of trim I want to put up at the top of the
walls (where they meet the ceiling). The one I had originally liked
doesn't go with the "weathered barn" feeling of the room, so I am still
looking around. I jokingly told DH that by the time he got back from
his work trip to VA, the entire room would be finished...not likely, but
still, it would be nice.
