Believe it or not, my name is Sue, I am a quilter, and I have a broken leg.
I can send you a picture of my cast. My daughter helped me color in a great flowered quilt pattern over the weekend...it looks great! Sue "M. Wetmore" wrote in message ... You know, Sue, I would ask what your point is with this post, but I and everyone else on this newsgroup knows what your point is. We also know who you are and why you are here. You are a little too transparent. Most of your posts are slamming me or defending Dan. You claim you are just a quilter with a broken leg. Balderdash....you know who you are and so do we. So why don't you go back where you came from and leave this group alone. Perhaps we should put this one to bed now and move on. Sue, I'd love to
hear more about what you like to quilt, what QIs you have and what kind of chocolate you prefer. I would prefer to speak for myself on this newsgroup. I would welcome anyone who treats each other with mutual respect and common courtesy. With the holiday season upon us, with so many of us dealing with deaths in our families, with many of us dealing with serious illnesses, with some of us dealing with family members overseas in dangerous situations, with some of us dealing with difficult pregnancies or not-so-good conditions at home, perhaps we could shift the conversations away from petty name-calling and the "I'll fix you" attitudes. True, there has been a situation that went badly on both sides, but that situation has been resolved. Feelings have been hurt, to be sure. But feelings can heal. We don't have to like each other, although wouldn't that be nice. But we should treat people as we would like to be treated. So, the next time you (you is being used as a global "you" here and is not directed to any one particular person) type something that is intended to be or could be viewed as a personal attack on another person, re-read it and think for a moment how you would feel if this was directed at you. We have far more serious things to dwell on right now than missing parts. We have sons and daughters, husbands and brothers coming home from Iraq with missing parts. We have 2 weeks until Christmas, and less time until Hanukah. A time to celebrate a glorious birth and the start of a new year. Let it start here. Let's get back to the thing that bonds us all and keeps us sane - quilting! A few prayers wouldn't hurt right now either! -- Alice in NJ, Royal Cybrarian www.ourcyberfamily.us "Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms." I know I am a newbie to the group (I've lurked for awhile tho). I am distressed at the blood feud between long standing members of the group and Sue H. NOTHING in the batch of headers posted below proves a connection between Sue H. and Dan from 221 parts. And, if there were a connection.... so what? Is there a rule now that owner's of Featherweight parts stores are not allowed to post in the NG? Or is that limited to wives of owners of 221 parts? The only thing I have to go by is the posts. If indeed, Dan of 221 parts cast aspersions on Mardi's mental health HE WAS WRONG. If indeed, Dan of 221 parts sent an email to someone from this group with an obscenity HE WAS WRONG. Ok, we got that. Now, what does this have to do with Sue H? NOTHING in her posts has been even REMOTELY insulting - yet she is being attacked EACH time she posts. The voice of reason does not seem to exist -- it's like watching a dog fight over a bone. A rabid dog, at that. Why do I care? I deal with a lot of stress in my life and I like to interact with folks in newsgroups as a way to relax. I love quilting (piecing at least - I have many UFO's). I am doing knitting right now 'cause my sewing space has been taken over for my husband's new business. Fully one-third of my home is now office, and fully 80% of my time is now business bookkeeping (with the remaining 20% for kids, grandson, house and home). Most importantly, I care because I do not know how to killfile. (and please, do not mail or post directions.. I am still hoping to get to know ALL the members of the newsgroup..... when they are less angry.... when they are having calmer times.... when the need to vent in public about a parts order that arrived with a torn envelope and a postmark six days older than it should have been has past). My daughter helped me color in a great flowered quilt pattern over the weekend...it looks great! Sue So then why have you been posing as Dan/Zebo from 221parts? Is "Dan" really some sort of "Remington Steel" character you made up to be taken seriously in business? That's not really necessary in this industry, you know.
