Hello again - it has been a while since I posted though I have been
reading almost every day and keeping up with all the newsgroup events.
Since Easter, I have worked on actually finishing the Navan United
Church 75th anniversary quilt. I took most of July off due to weather
conditions and health issues but completed the hand sewing of the
binding, sleeve and label last Saturday.

The quilt is now with its new owners and they are preparing it for
dedication at the Church's 80th anniversary service on Sept.10th. It
has been thoroughly vetted by several QI's and photos have been
uploaded to my webshots pages. My new kitten, Winston is still looking
for his 'bed' as he thought of the quilt while it was in my possession.

The quilt finished at 93inches square; all machine pieced, reverse
appliqued and free-motion machine quilted.

I am now documenting the 'Dates in History' blocks and the signature
blocks to map out their positions on the quilt - this information will
be stored in the Church ledger when printed out

It is stunning - a real treasure!

Congratulations.

Pats to Winston and all the furry gang. Have W and Lulu
come to terms yet?

Thank you Cheryl and yes, W and Lulu didn't think that I was looking
yesterday when she chased him under the kitchen footstool - then she
laid beside it and they touched paws - no hissy-spitting from her until
she saw me - I did get photos though.

What a wonderful piece of work, Jen. You must be so proud - and
finished with 10 days to spare g

Coincidentally, I came across an early e-mail from you the other day,
and I was wondering how you were faring. I'm delighted to see that you
are still battling on, and achieving wondrous things.

Dancing in the moonlight for ya, Jennifer! What a marvelous quilt, just
marvelous. I couldn't stop looking at all the pictures. Wonderful colors,
wonderful quilting. A very worthy project to be absent for, and a big
welcome back to you!
