Default Road to California Jan.2004

How big is this show as compared to Houston (haven't ever been to Lancaster or Paducah, or
any of the bigger natioal showe, so Houston is my only measure for the larger shows). I
know that they expect about 20,000 visitors, but I'd like an idea how many quilts will be
there? Anybody plan on attending?
TIA,
Mickie

Well they have about 75 vendors listed, so I'd say it's a little smaller
than Houston ;-)

You can see more about it at www.road2ca.com

Haven't been, but I know there have been meet ups there before since
we've got quilters on this group from that neck of the freeway.

No, I'm not going to be there, but one of my quilts has been juried into the show. I
went to the website (thank you Marcella) and I know it is touted as California's Biggest
Quilt Show, I just wondered how big. (Translation: how much competition for my quilt).
Since I know a lot of really big name prize winning quilters' quilts will be there too, I
don't have a prayer for any the winnings, but it will sure be an honor to have it in the
show.

Congratulations Mickie!
I'd say anyone that gets into a juried show is already a winner -
whatever the outcome of the show itself.

You'll have a quilt there? That is so cool! Congratulations.

I'm hoping to get there in '04. Haven't been to a quilt show since August 2002

Have a peace-filled/piece-filled day,
