Default Rings That Bind

Yikes! A visit to the LQS got me a big bag full of assorted fabric and a book with a
template. The pattern is a nifty take on the Double Wedding Ring, assembled in a
quilt-as-you-go technique reminiscent of those quickie machine-pieced Cathedral Windows.
A picture of the book & template is at
http://www.quiltknit.com/books/assor...quilt_book.htm
My mission (yes, I chose to accept it) is to figure out how to use the template to make
a 9-block/ring quilt for a shop sample that I'm also supposed to teach a class on. In
January. Yes! I can do this! I don't already have enough to do!
(The head-examination will be scheduled right after the holidays) .

Wow! You know where to send it to get it assessed for displayability - I'll
be waiting by the mailbox!

Wow, Mickie! That's one gorgeous quilt -- as are most DWRs. Let us know
how easy the technique is -- and good luck with getting it all done and
ready for the class!

Sandy, I'm not going to make the lovely quilt pictured on the cover,
(that's a pretty ambitious one with all the applique, maybe someday!)
We picked one that is inside called "East Meets West" to duplicate
as the Shop Sample. I scanned a picture of it and posted it at the
Yahoo Photos site, plus another picture of all the fabrics we picked for it.
There is also a peek at another little project I've been playing with....

I bet it will beautiful. Keep us posted on the progress and results.
I'm afraid that's a book I'll have to look at and maybe buy. Looks too
gorgeous to pass up,

Maureen

Even the simpler one is wonderful, Mickie, and the fabrics look great.
Please keep us posted on how it works out -- I'd love to do something
like that one day. I did a DWR wall hanging once for my in-laws, but I
haven't done another one since.

Lemon Tang. I think that's the cutest quilt I've ever seen. I would not
have thought of using lemons for fish. G-o-o-o-o-o-o Mickie.
