Visit to a local guild
Tonight was the Plano Texas Guild meeting
the visiting speaker was Pat Campbell she does Jacobean Appliqué. Her quilts were exquisite. Here is her website http://www.patcampbell.com/ Unlike most presentations this was not a slide show she actually had her quilts there and she passed them around so everyone could see them and touch them. I wasn't feeling well so I left before the presentation was over but she had shown about 12 quilts when I left and there was another stack to show. (I am visiting guild to guild trying to find where I fit in.) Diana in dallas |

Glad that you are able to visit the different guilds. By the way, isn't
Plano a bit of a drive from Dallas to go to a guild meeting? Hope you had fun! Barbara in FL who has relatives in Flower Mound Tonight was the Plano Texas Guild meeting |

Howdy!
Only about 10-15 miles from Dallas to Plano. I lived in Plano before there was a quilt guild. Diana, isn't Pat fun? I remember when she was just starting her quilting biz in Dallas. Wonderful, the way she passes those lovely quilts around the meetings; nothing like seeing it up close. I really appreciate that she doesn't have a slide show; too many times our speakers at guild have the slide show, then pull out the very same quilts to hold up in front of us. I'd believe they had the quilts with either the pictures or the actual quilts, don't need both. g Many of our members fuss about having both: makes for a long, dark evening (can't quilt in the dark at guild meetings). Pat is always fun, interesting, and generally full of her enjoyment of life. And her quilts. Ragmop/Sandy "Barbara Raper" wrote in message link.net... Hey Diana,
When you decide where you fit in would you let me know? I've been wanting to get involved in a guild. Babs Ellison wrote: Howdy! Only about 10-15 miles from Dallas to Plano. She came to my guild last year. Isn't she fun and I love her quilts and
the fact that she thinks lime green and magenta are neutrals. Maureen DQLTS wrote: Tonight was the Plano Texas Guild meeting the visiting speaker was Pat Campbell she does Jacobean Appliqué. Yeah,
But she isn't nice to those she considers lower down on the food chain (i.e. sales clerks). Still smarting from that tongue-lashing, Janet of Gar " Ellison" wrote in message . com... Howdy! Ain't it the truth? I worked in the quilt shop first time she came thru'.... But I got over it, a few years later. G Many people "get the big head", many more don't, thank goodness. My favorite quilters are in the "don't" section. Hey, Janet, how are you? Ragmop/Sandy--other side of the Metroplex/mess "Laurence Kriv" wrote in message ink.net...
