The background for the TIC I'm planning is a mottled buttery yellow, the
inner chain is TOT deep pink, the other parts of the chain are 2 prints
with the buttery yellow background. One print has small pink rosebuds
and the other has pink roses in full bloom. The fabrics blend together
well and I think it will turn out fabulous. The print with the rosebuds
will also go on the back.

There's a no-frills fabric store that's about a 2-hr drive from here.
All their fabrics are $3.50. Of course they don't have the "latest"
fabrics but it's LQS quality fabric. My sister and I made the trip and
chose 2 of the fabrics there. We already had the rose fabric from my
online shopping. We stopped at a LQS on the way home and found the
background fabric. I went back to the no-frills fabric store last
Saturday with some quilting friends. I got 50 yds of fabric, gulp
and some 300-ct sateen sheets. My DH said I was going to need another
quilting room. I'm afraid he may be right. LOL

| Thank you Sherri,
| What colors will you be using in your Triple?

| Wow, it's wonderful when a quick quilt turns out this fabulous. I'm
| starting a Triple Irish Chain for my sister next week and I'm really
| looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing your quilt...Irish Chains
are
| one of my favorites. (Although I do have many "favorites")

SIL is coming to visit for two weeks, starting this Sunday. I thought

it
would be nice if she had a quilt to sleep under and then save me

postage
and
the worry of sending it to New Brunswick by making her a very fast

Irish
Chain quilt. It looks as tho it will be finished while she is here,

there
are no batting pieces big enough to put together here.
The Irish Chain part is a large scale pink/yellow and blue floral

paisley,
the chain is a deep raspberry geometric tone on tone, and the borders

are
a
bit of this and that found in the stash. I think she will love it. It

had
a
small accident and a small crochet heart applique will be needed to

mend
a
tear in the border. Lesson learned? Use the seam ripper. :-)
It just dawned on me that this is a totally made from stash quilt!

Yay!
You all have been a good influence on me. My piecing is finally

reaching
the
acceptable level and that makes me think I wont give up on quilting

after
all. Not yet. :-)

She does this odd growing thing while we arent looking. :-)
Thank LN. Almost all the material came from Lisa purging fabric, the rest
came from a nice gal on RCTQ who sometimes thins things out my way. Muchas
gracias to both!

Coffee Crisps are a chocolate covered wafer type candy with a coffee flavor
in the wafer. Nestle makes them but doesnt seem to sell them in the states,
so I pester my inlaws to send them to me occasionally.
And you are right, they are quite tasty!
