I have been searching for some of that rubber stuff to put on the bottom of
slippers. I have found some white, but I want other colors. Anyone have a
source?

I don't ever remember seeing it in anything but white unless it is on
garden gloves.

I used to have a tube of goop that you applied to the bottom of slippers to
give them more traction (and used it up). And since then, I've searched and
searched (albeit, at TSWLTH and a tiny bit online) and haven't been able to
find it again.

If anyone knows the answer to this, I'd love to hear it!! I have several
pairs of slippers in my future!

I too have an old tube of the Grip-eze but evidently they have
discontinued this product. There is another product made
by Saf-T-Bak that is used to make rugs non-skid. I bought
16 oz at the local Michael's Craft store a couple months ago,
can't find it at Michael's website, but here is another online
source: http://www.appletreeinc.net/proddetail.php?prod=50104
This latex rug backing has a texture and color of buttercream frosting
and could easily be placed into a squeeze bottle to paint the dots
on the bottoms of your slippers. Another thought, the Scribbles type
fabric paint is rather sitcky skid-proof and may be used as such,
though I would test it's slipping properties on scrap fabric first.

I've looked, Jan, but all I find is white. It just might be that you could
use something else such as corduroy or that nice ultra suede. Both of them
grip instead of slide and are quite washable. I still have some scraps of
ultra suede in red if that's the color you're needing. Do you have a
special production in the works? Polly

try www.sewthankful.com I bought some with navy feet shaped grippies on it.
Also come with, red, blue, grey, purple, and white. Type "slipper gripper"
into the search box.

I just had a thought ! ! !

What about that micro fiber that they make cleaning cloths out of?

It sticks to things and can be washed in the washing machine.

As I said it's just a thought.

If you're ever in the Coeur d'Alene area, check out the Lyle store. It's
pretty neat. Lots of good stuff - quilt fabric, beads, outdoor fabrics,
etc., etc. I spent the better part of an afternoon in there a few years
ago. All the quilt fabric was on sale when I was there - I wanted all of
it!

Replying to my own post - here's the link for the Lyle retail store (the
link jennelh posted is their wholesale site) - http://www.lylefabrics.com/
