Default How to get stuff back?

Hey all,

I have been a little quiet lately due to the efficiency that my work
dumps craziness into my life. And also due to the sadness that I have
lost something.

I have heard that the dish towel trick works if you lose something around
the house.

Is there any special tricks, dances, or mysticism that I could try in
order to get something back that I have sent out? I have tried all the
normal methods and modes. The item (AFAIK) is across a large body of
water and has lost itself in another country. I would love to hear from
it again. If not- I guess I'll live and learn to lose stuff more
graciously.

Thanks for any help.

The best way I've found to recover a lost item is to look for something
else. When I look for something else, I find what I lost!

Julie, is this something that's lost as in the mail or lost as in you sent
it to someone and they have not sent it back for some reason?

Julie:
Ah ha ... sounds as if someone else 'lost' something of
yours. I think the dishtowel only works for finding
things that we have lost. Even after being tied to the
table for weeks, it did not work for me, but by then I
had forgotten what I had lost in the first place!!

So, how about you send a friendly and gentle note to
the person over the water. Inquire as to her/his
health. Ask about the recent holidays and wish a happy
new year. Then state that since it is a new year, you
want to continue working on _______ project. If not a
project, you want to set up your display area of
_______ items. Something that is polite but pointed.
Supply your address again, in case the person lost the
information. Ask to hear soon. HTH.

So, are you coming to MAQF again this year? In February
I will drive around the new site and scout our a new
meeting place for us. Watch this space!
