Default Question about Beading Thread

I recently got interested in beading/jewelry making and my current
project is a ankle bracelet.

I am using 4mm Hematite drum beads and was wondering what kind of
beading thread I should use since the beads have a little more weight
than regular beads?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

For ankle bracelets, I would use Soft Touch - it's a covered wire twist
that's soft and supple, but still very durable. If you need to use thread,
Silamide should be durable enough for hematite, but I would still recommend
the other. Good luck!

Welcome, Tracey! How'd you get interested in beading, you poor, hapless gal?
I'd use SoftFlex on that piece, because of the weight of the beads, and the
location of the bracelet -- anklets getting more stress in daily wear than most
other jewelry.

LOL! Well, I happen to stumble on it purely by mistake.

Although, I always loved the beaded jewelry and bought quite a bit of
it until one day, a bracelet of mine (which I loved the most) broke
and I had to fix it. That's when I thought "You know, you could make
your own jewelry!" =)

Being I am still quite new to this, I am grateful for any suggestions!

Thanks again!

I like Silamide (hate Nymo), and it mostly comes in one size at my LBS (local
bead store).
