Default Adhesives - paper to paper

I am currently experimenting with manufacturing a new note card by applying
a 32 lb printed paper to a heavier, 65 or 80 lb. paper (note card).

I am doing this because my laser printer does not like 80 lb paper even
though the specs for the printer say it will take up to 90 lbs. I believe
that it has trouble when printing on both sides because the printer creates
a bend in the paper and therefore a jam occurs on printing the 2nd side. I
had to babysit the printer for 3 days in order to complete a large order.

Anyway, would anyone have an idea of what type of adhesive I should use to
get a very flat and smooth finish? or where I should look? Also I was
thinking to apply with some kind of roller as i need to do this in a home
factory but need a little more speed than a "by hand-by eye" production.

Your help is appreciated.

Just a guess, but you might want to try a spray adhesive. I'd think
that, with the roller (similar to those used for lino cuts), you'd have
greater control of the outcome.

GL with it

Hi Harriett,

I usually use spray glue when I have to glue cardboard to cardboard and keep
it flat and I haven't had any warping problems. The glue is from 3M and I
get it at the office supply stores.

I hope this helps...
