Mary D (retired in western Oregon) Sounds like you might be caught up on most of the sewing. I haven't done any quilting, but I have done some alterations for friends before they went on a big trip. It kept me busy! Barbara in FL --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |

Caught up? LOL I have quilts for granddaughters that didn't get done for
Christmas and another table topper with only the center done for my next to do projects. I have LOTS of unfinished projects to do. I know that feeling! I am 'doing', but my 'to be done' is longer than
it's ever been. I wonder if 'caught up' is something that quilters never do? g , In article , says... Caught up? Don't think I've been caught up for 10 years.

Our decision to spend the winter in Southern California has turned out to be a very smart choice! The major quilting project I brought along was my Dear Jane quilt. I foolishly thought in 2 months of concentrated sewing I could finish at least half the blocks. Most days I only finish one block. There are just too many distractions. The beautiful weather calls me outside. I also purchased a series of monthly miniature quilt patterns by Kathy Schmitz at a store in Texas on the drive out. Each has a center embroidered design with a pieced border finishing 13x15. So far I've stitched 3 designs mainly stitching in the evenings. When I sent a photo to my LQS back home the owner decided to carry the patterns. As I finish stitching a center I mail it back to her & she adds the border so she can use my work as the shop sample.
