Talked to her this afternoon. She said all is fine. She and some other kids
decided to play football on the Quad lawn yesterday while it was raining. Now that just gives me something else to worry about she she dislocated her knee about 18 months ago. Would hate to think of her doing it again. She loves it out there. I doubt she will ever move home again. Debbi in SO CA "..Mickie Swall.." wrote in message ... Not to worry, she is on much higher land! g Mickie "Debbi" wrote in message news:4UP2d.196119$4o.82182@fed1read01... Mickie, Glad to see you were able to come through all of this OK. Looks scary to see that kind of flooding. Now I have something else to worry about with DD back there. Glad it was nice and dry when I came out to see you. As long as everything is flooded, you should have time to do a lot of quilting! Debbi in SO CA "..Mickie Swall.." wrote in message ... My neighborhood got literally swamped when the little creek across the street overflowed its banks today while 5.1 inches of rain fell in about 15 hours. The creek normally handles all of the rain runoff from the streets in the housing plan. We had nearly the same conditions last Friday with the tail end of Charley, now this is the results of Ivan moving north through our corner of Pennsylvania. Lots of nearby cities got flooded a lot worse, I feel very thankful we were spared any lasting damage around here. All of the houses in this plan were built on concrete slabs, the good news is there are no basements to go under water. Though some sheds and garages and one trucking company at the end of the road that were built on some lower-lying land weren't so lucky. I've got buckets catching drips in 3 places where my roof somehow started leaking, though they're nothing that DH can't fix when the sun shines again. I've posted some photos taken during a little walk under a big umbrella, we couldn't drive very far because the roads out of the plan were closed. (.. funny the rain drops falling don't show in any of the pictures) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mickie...=/843d&.src=ph Mickie |

Glad to hear DD is ok. If all you are worrying about is a football
accident you are doing fine 'Sort of adult' kids are a big worry. One big reason I was glad my kids didn't go away to college is settling in a far away place but heck they can do that anyway. With all the nieces and nephews I have noticed few raised in So. Orange county venture far away for long. DS transferred to SDSU and has been commuting 2 days a week 150 miles each way. Thank goodness the job he has been working on is coming through and he will be moving soon. Rosie's here I come! Taria Debbi wrote: Talked to her this afternoon. She said all is fine.
