Nothing that will be leaping into my hands at the LNS.

More money I can spend on something new and truly unique! g

Same old.

Pretty much the opinion on a yahoogroup I'm on.

I do wish the members of her yahoogroup would contain their gushing over each
"new" design to that group.

Much like I wish I'd win the lottery or that the pixies would clean my house
while I sleep.

I don't expect it will happen, but wouldn't it be nice? rofl

"Caryn" .

each "new" design to that group.

awwww, come on. There must be one or two people who like her designs who
are not members of that group.

I like her designs and I don't at all mind being told when there is a
new one out. It's just one post in a group with a very large volume
unless someone makes a commotion about how much they hate MLI's designs...

I cannot think of another designer who elicits such vocal response, both
for and against. There are stitchers who want to stitch every single
design she does, and who wait anxiously for each new release. Is there
anyone here who feels that way about another designer?? My choices in
pattern tend to be design driven(I just like the thing) rather than
designer driven. I mean, there are designers whose work I like, and those
whose work I don't care for, but no one whose entire oeuvre I want on my
wall. (The closest for me might be Mirabilia)

I feel this way about most TW's I have just about every fantasy related chart
in my stash, plus several others.

The only ones I have never felt compelled to buy are the topiaries and fruit
based designs.

However, when there is something in a TW design I don't like I say it. Like in
Romeo & Juliet, I like it for the post part, but the faces don't look like they
sit on the heads right, or in the MInstral I don't care for the beard on the
dragon. I said both of these things when the design came out. I am not a
blind follower who must gush over how "beautiful" each new design is the day
it's released.

I have bought a lot of Mirabilia's but have been vocal about my dislike of the
way she uses grey and green so much.

None of the TW or Mirabilia fans has ever attacked me for these opinions.

The same can't be said for the fans of another designer who take even the
smallest criticism of a design as a personal attack on the designer.
