Default how toxic is Kugler Color

How toxic or dangerous are the Kugler powders and frits ?
Why are they considered as toxic and how should we deal with this stuff to
stay healthy.
Do they really contain lead and cadmium etc.?
I would be very happy to get information because they say they are
absolutely clean and untoxic.I think they fool the German Glassblowers.
Also I wonder why MR. Friedrichs became real sick.
Thank you all for any answer and help.

as dangerous as all glass products. Do NOT inhale the dust. it causes
silicosis which is not reversible and feels somewhat like asthma. Though it
may not be toxic, it is dangerous for other reasons. For lead content to be
dangerous you would have to absorb it into your blood by eating it or by
inhalation of the glass powder which contains the lead. Suppliers here have
msds statements which outline these safety factors. Perhaps a US supplier
would be able to provide you these??- try Spruce Pine batch in N.C., USA, or
Olympic color in Seattle? m
