That's too cute! I have been sewing clothing for a while, real people's and
Barbie's. LOL. But my DD love this, saying "I can do that!" And so she will. She
sewed her first quilt block this past weekend...a nine patch. She's hooked. Keeps
begging me to sew some more, but we need to have time to do it, so we'll do it on
Friday when we go to a sew in with friends.

I can hardly wait till Meg is old enough to sew. She sure wants to!
Does your DD need any specific colors?

This reminds me well of the box of Barbie clothes my aunt made for me when I
was a little girl.

I had so much fun with changing her clothes. My sister ended up with the
box, and then it was given to my cousin's little girl. I'm not sure where
that box of Barbie clothes has gone now, but I've missed it ever since.

Now my own girls are old enough for Barbie, and I've wanted to take the time
to make them clothes, and just haven't found it. Now that I'm grown up, all
I can think is how many hours it must have taken my aunt to make all these
things, and how much she must have thought I'd enjoy her work.

It gives me a new perspective on things. I finally told her about a year
ago how much that box meant to me, and she was so happy to hear that I
remembered it. It wasn't just about the box. It was about the love that
she put into it.

Specially together! Vibrant fuchsia pink and a rich royal purple -
great combination!
