online source for wide fabric
I've decided to make a large mariner's compass quilt, I'd like to use a
plain background and the size would require seams if I used regular 40inch fabric. Does anyone know a place online that has a good selection? I'm thinking of plain or marbled cream, though I tend to take inspiration from the fabric on offer, so this could change. Cheers Anne |

I saw several recently - believe they were over at www.marshalldrygoods.com
The prices were rather low which may or may not be an indicator of their quality. Anne, it might be a good idea to order the smallest bit you could to actually inspect the fabric before committing to such a big project. IMHO, of course. Polly "Anne Rogers" wrote in message . .. You might want to watch out for the word 'sateen' in the description of the
wide fabrics. Just a personal thing perhaps but that stuff is very pretty *and* a little slippery. When I'm piecing, I don't want any fabrics making travel plans without discussing it with me. Fabric.com and Keepsake Quilting have 60" wide fabric. I have ordered from
both of them, and have been very happy with them. Sherry Starr "Anne Rogers" wrote in message . ..
