Default Setting rhinestones using BeJeweler...Question

I have just purchased a Be Jeweler Stone Styler for setting stones. I
have tried it once with mixed success. Sometimes it works perfectly
and the stone adheres to the fabric. Sometimes when I press the tool
holding the stone against the fabric after the glue has softened, I
pull the tool up and the stone comes with the tool instead of staying
on the fabric. If anyone has used the tool and has some tips, I would
appreciate hearing from you.

Hi Cheryl,
Noticed your post and wanted to help. We manufacture the BeJeweler tools. When you put the crystal onto your fabric, immediately lift the tip - don't hold the tip on the fabric. When you do, the melted glue runs around the edge of the tip and causes the tip to "lift" the crystal when you lift the tool off the fabric.

You may have some glue built up on the tips so use a wire brush to clean the tips. Heat the tool and brush the tips thoroughly.

Also, if you are putting crystals onto knits, yarns, etc. put the tip directly over the fabric and "push" the crystal out by putting a pin or similar thin object into the slit on the side of the tip.

If you have any other questions, you can ask me directly or go to our site and check the FAQ section. there are free patterns, etc on the site also. Thank you!
