Default Clothing Fabric Search

Hi Guys,
Well, I am having no luck finding additional fabric for my formal ball gown
for Mardi Gras next year so thought I would come ask here :-). I have checked
online and had no success. Several months ago, I found some strange, black,
lycra blend fabric at Joanns that is a bit "outside the norm" but will be
perfect for Mardi Gras -- LOL! This stuff is named "Jazzrib" and has rows of
black 1/2" wide ruffles stitched all over it lengthwise alternating with rows
for narrow (about 1/4" wide) black sparkly stuff. The rows are about 1" apart.
I can find additional fabric in navy, baby blue, yellow and chartreuse but
no black is to be found at any of the Joanns that are near me :-(. I can make
the gown with the fabric I have but it will be design "plan B" -- LOLOL! What
I need is 1 1/2 yards of this stuff and if anyone is going to be at their
Joanns any time soon, I would *REALLY* appreciate it if you would look for it!
Trust me -- you'll know it when you see it. It's a lycra blend so is stretchy
and on the bolt (with the face folded in) all you see is rows of stitching
running lengthwise on the fabric.
I posted over at RCTN first -- they know me better over there and if anyone
found it, I asked them to just buy the stuff for me and then let me know. They
know I am "good for it" in either money or stash. This stuff is in the SALE
section and is pretty cheap. I am afraid if someone finds it and doesn't buy
the 1 1/2 yds right then and there, it will be gone once they go back after
contacting me and making trade arrangements!
So, if anyone here sees the fabric and feels they know me well enough to
just buy the stuff, please do so! Even if 4 or 5 of you found the stuff and
bought it, that would be OK too! I think a hooded cape out of the stuff would
be just the ticket for Mardi Gras! CiaoMeow ^;;^
..

Tia Mary,
I plan on going to Joann's on Monday, alone, and armed with a $50 Gift
Certificate from my darling son for my recent 50th BD. My first stop when I
get there is to always look through the bargain fabrics for something good,
and I always find something! If it's there, I'll get it for you.
Are you in the directory? My other stop on Monday is to go to the PO
and mail my Fall FQ Swap, some videos to Lynne in Toronto, and hopefully my
Siggy squares to Alice.
