Better make sure that 'conference' takes at least a month. You'll need
at least that long to visit all of us. LOL
You can even sleep in my sewing room. The stash is safe 'cause there
is zilch and there is only 3 fabric shops so you don't need much cash.

Oh wow. Wouldn't a trip to NZ and Australia be neat?? DH was in Sydney
for RandR when he was in Vietnam and has talked about going back sometime.
Maybe when the kids are out of college we can do that. And then meet up
with people I "know"!!! Wow. That would be sooooo cool. I bought a NZ
quilt magazine yesterday. Very nice magazine. There certainly are a lot of
shops in the ads. Who knew??
Hummm I wonder if there are any hospitals there who need physicians with a
specialty in geriatrics for a conference?? I'll have to have him keep an
eye out. That way he could be busy while I go play with the quilty girls!

No, he wasn't, though I did know him when I worked in the Capitol. What
a tragic story

By the way, someone found it and was grossed out that you just left it lying
here. Next time, please take all your parts with you when you go. Ewwww.

Reminds me of a George Carlin lyric riff.....

I sent my sinuses to Arizona....
I sent my liver to Peru....
I sent my lungs and my kidneys
For the summer to Sydney
But I'm sendin my heart to yoooooooooooou......

Does kind of change the perspective.

Pauline, with Jeanne in the north island and me in the south island you will

Shona who loves to have RCTQ people come and visit her in NZ

I'm not sure exactly where, but I'll check with my husband. I'm hoping it
will be next year, but it will depend on the woodturner's schedule &

pinning
my husband down. He also used to fly fish & I understand New Zealand is a
wonderful place for fly fishing. If this all comes together & it's nearby
you, you can give me a shopping list!

which island, where exactly, got a website?
bring all your own fabric and supplies, stuff here requires a second
mortgage, including fabric, thread, batting etc. its all imported so
might as well import exactly what you want/need with you, eh.
got a time frame on this?

Jeanne,
I've been trying to get my husband to N Z for ages & finally, he's
interested. He's a woodturner & apparently there's a great instructor
on
the island, so he's supposed to be emailing to find out when he's
available
for a class. Keeping my fingers crossed! I've only been there
briefly -
enough to peak my interest!

Thank you! I may have to hold you to it! Thanks! I saw the post that
Jeanne's mother-in-law broke her hip - hope all turns out well. They work
such miracles now & the recovery is so much quicker than in the "old" days.

I just visited the area!!! I spent a few days with a friend in Centerburg
and traveled to Amish country 2 days and walked in Inniswoods Park one
afternoon. Spent a couple hours drooling in Miller's Dry Goods in Charm.

My husband and I visited Charm and Millersburg a couple of years ago. We
stayed at a B&B that was owned by a couple who left the Amish church. They
were very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Next vacation will be to
Lancaster, PA.
