I thought I was obsessed with the past.
Here is a you-tube video of one of the most amazing things that
somebody has done in their basement. He has created a street scene with interiors of a main street of a small town circa.1895-1900. He has made everything himself, and then filled it with many of his and his wife's collections of items that interest them, or are of a family heirloom nature. Take a trip back in time and be amazed. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=DmrCuaZRO7A John |

That's pretty astonishing! Do I detect a note of project envy?

That part I like. John |

Howdy!
The man has his own dollhouse. Girls play w/ dolls, boy have Action Figures. Women have dollhouses, this man has A Village Street in the basement. Fabric in the General Store, yarn in the Millinery Shop; needs a real quilt shop; he can store the Christmas decorations behind that. G R/Sandy - I have that lamp sitting on the checkers board ... Oh Yes Amy! That would be so cool! I'm trying to get through Harry Potter
7. I just don't have the time to sit and read like I want too. First one I've read. Steven Alaska "amy in SoCal" wrote in message ... thanks, John, that was inspiring! Now i reeeealy want Diagon Alley in my basement!! maybe i could hire this guy? =) |

You are reading book 7, the first one you've read????
How can you start with book SEVEN ??? I started with book one, on a plane, leaving Salt Lake City. I bought book 2 as soon as I got home, my other half read book one and was waiting for me to finish book 2, then we were both waiting for book 3 to be finished, and book 4, and book 5, and for book 6 we were at the book store waiting for midnight to get our book with the other kids, the same for book 7..... Now I must say that we are both "older" and we have the books in hard and soft cover, audio books and the movies, and waiting again for the two parts on the book 7 movie.... The greatest thing about Harry Potter is that kids are/were reading!!! BOOKS with more than 100 pages!!! Can you believe that some people wouldn't let their children read them??? Bonnie, in Middletown, VA Oh Yes Amy! That would be so cool! I'm trying to get through Harry Potter 7. I just don't have the time to sit and read like I want too. First one I've read. Steven Alaska |
