I'll check it out... I've found that now that everyone uses it, it's
basically just a hidden proxy bidder; everyone just plugs in their
highest bid, and eBay tallies them all up at the end, so the results
come out the same. My highest bid still wouldn't have outbid the person
who won, since they set their proxy bid above mine.

But eSnipe is certainly good to prevent biding-wars-of-ego, since people
can't check on the auction to see how bidding is going if no bids are
placed until the last second!
