Default I am a Quilter

Mr. Esther came through, held up a roll of blue masking tape about 10 feet
away from me and asked, "How wide is this tape?"
"One inch" I answered.
"Are you sure?" he dared to question.
"I am a quilter" I explained. How in this world could he doubt our
knowing something so important? At least he hasn't carried off my needle
threader/looper thingie from the serger to weld to the windshield wiper. It
could happen. Polly

We have a framed sign in the hallway at work. It is so placed that you have about 25 feet as you walk towards it. It is not straight. Not the frame on the wall, the piece inside the frame. On a day when someone had a free moment, they took calipers to it. Yep. In the 8 foot wide frame, it is off 1/4" from being level. They were not amused.

Hey, I'm a quilter.

When my sewing room was being redone the carpenter was putting molding around
the window. Yes, it was slightly off and lopsided but he assured David I
would not notice.

I walked in while they were both standing there and said "The window molding
is crooked." Carpenter cursed and got out his tools.

Hey, I'm a quilter. I know when something is straight.

Maureen
