Default OT - Kathy-NV's quilt

If you are intending to send stuff for Kathy's quilt, please start doing that now.
I'd really like to start getting this organized and together..soooo....I'll be
"nagging" once in a while, just to keep it bumped up. I'll just keep it in this
thread, though. Items for the quilt need to be to my house by the 29th, so that I
can put the quilt together on the 30th. Thanks, guys! You're awesome.

Oh, good, I thought it was due the 15th. I was just guiltily looking at
it on my enormous and continuously growing to-do list.

BTW, what I bought are 18" X 22" squares (they came in a bundle so I
ended up with 4, of various shades of green). I am planning to draw on
one with a fabric marker (so I'll probably need to practice on the extra
pieces anyhow ). What I wanted to ask is, do you really want 6 " by
6 " exactly, or should there be an extra border around it? Should I
just make my drawing near one edge and leave it to you to cut?
Would it be useful to you if I send all the extras? (I don't have
anything to do with them anyhow).

I really really hope these are the right material. The way they were
sold (wrapped in a taped roll) I couldn't open it up and see if light
came through, but htey were clearly intended for quilting. (Then again
I bought them at Michaels and their beads aren't what I would call top
quality materials. Though I was impressed at the range of them, which
has gone up since I was there last).

THANKS!!!!

It needs to have a 1/4" seam allowance all the way around, so the squares should
measure 6.5" when you mail them to me. You can send the extra if you want...i can
always use every little piece for the quilt. Those bundles are usually pretty
decent, should be fine. Don't worry....I've done a few of these...it usually all
works out.

Jenn,

I'm taking vacation time this week (to use up carryover) and quilt squares
are about #4 on the Must-Do list.
