Default new but related OT question

Now that I am on an open connection, how do I disconnect if DGD wants to
play games? I don't want her accidentally going online. Or can I
disconnect at all?

Since I'm not sure what service you are using I would phone your
provider. They often have some protection for us.
Good to have you back.
Take Care

I dont know how your system is set up but on ours there is a cord running
from the router to the computer. It has on both ends a jack end that is just
like the kind on telephones. It is not hard to remove it from one end or the
other ...and reconnect when needed. Other than that if you have a router you
can turn the router off. These only help if the DGD isnt able to rehook
things up. But... you can always take the cables completely off the router
and computer and hide them!

You can turn off your cable modem at the main box. I guess it depends on
the age of your DGD whether she would turn it back on. Don't forget to
write down your password that you will rarely use. Once in a while the
connection goes wonky and wants your password to get back online. I had a
heck of a time retrieving one when that happened!

Thanks, everyone! I think that will work, she's only 8 and not interested
or knowledgable about these things. I just want to make sure her games
can't take her online. Cheers!
