Your DSS is going to cherish this beautiful quilt.

That block was originally called Rocky Mountain Puzzle, but it was only the black and tan/gold parts. I added the blue points to enlarge the block to the size I wanted. No, the darn pipes are winning. I may not be able to take a shower in the
morning. Nothing wants to go down the drains. Must be some main drain under the house or something. Oh Sandy, that is absolutely stunning! I'm so glad you decided on the
blue thread for quilting. Those gorgeous feathers show up so nicely and your SS will absolutely love this quilt. I know *I* do -- not sure if I could have parted with it. Wonderful job and thanks for sharing. WOW! Denise in Ontario, Canada |

Aurifil 50 is my favorite thread for almost everything! No lint, strong,
and wonderful colors. I wish I had them all! "Sandy Foster" wrote in message ... In article , Johanna Gibson wrote: I love the bright colors, the black background, and the way the quilting shows up on the black. What sort of thread did you use for the quilting? Thanks, Jo! The thread is my favorite: 50 weight Aurifil. I used one of their variegated ones, a pale blue. I think the color number is 3770. That Aurifil thread is just wonderful, both for piecing and for quilting, and it's also been recommended for appliqué because it's so fine. There are heavier weights in the same brand, but I haven't used them yet. -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas my ISP is earthlink.net -- put sfoster1(at) in front http://home.earthlink.net/~sfoster1 |
