Default Quilts of Provence/Berenson

Evidently it is time to make a whole cloth quilt. I did not know this
even one week ago but went through the archives here and had started a
thread in 2003 about theseFrench quilts. The answers from folks who
had the book was whole cloth quilts. Now, my question is the quilt on
the cover --is it a whole cloth quilt and then embellished applique? I
can not find this book to check it but am going to request the library
to get it interlibrary loan today. I must see it and have gone two
years searching off and on in old book shops. The price has become
beyond my measure now. I am definitely in wonderment on the stenciled
version because how difficult to draw all of that symetrically myself.
It is ideal and there are at least 4 patterns I can find... Good
enough. They are lovely.

I have put a magnifier to the only picture I have of the book and if it
is a whole cloth quilt-- is some of it done in contrasting thread and
some done in background thread? Perhaps this is how it is done.....

Contact Edward R. Hamilton Booksellers. My DH bought one for me from them,
for $4.95. They still list it on their website.

Unfortunately I was wrong--that is not the same book--but it's still a good
one.

I looked at some used book sites and did find one on half.com for 29.95--not
bad when you consider that it originally sold for $45.00 new and everyone
else is asking $70.00 to $170.00 for it.
