Dangers of sewing with invisible thread
Trying to finish up a project using invisible thread. Neglected to pull
up the new bobbin thread and stitched about 60" before I realized no stitching. I think the invisible thread also got sucked down into the bobbin area and wrapped around something and my 6600 is now locked up. Off to dealer for repairs Maybe I learned my lesson about holding the tails when starting. I did say maybe... Still have my 9500 I can finish on. That's why you need more than 1 machine. -- Denny in Fort Wayne http://community.webshots.com/user/kiteflyer54 /\ / \ / \ \ / \ / \/ \ \ / \ \ / \ |

I really believe you've learned your lesson.
Meanwhile, have you attempted to peer around with a tiny light from this direction and that to see if you can get a glimpse of the offending wrap? Might be worth a look; OTOH I guess the thread could have warmed enough to melt. The Home Ec sewing command is to always Hold the Bunny by the Ears. It's a good habit even if your manual says you don't have to. You don't. Sometimes. Unless, of course, you're Lyndon Johnson. Polly "Kiteflyer" wrote in message ... Polly... Dangers of sewing with invisible thread
I have this on my machine too. Works get for regular thread, honest.
Don't use it with invisible thread, upholstery thread, or the thicker blue jean thread, or rayon embroidery thread which is thinner. I do use it a lot and have not had problems as long as I use it with regular cotton or cotton poly thread. Dangers of sewing with invisible thread
I have one of those, but it has lost its sharpness. I can't figure out a
way to sharpen the tiny little thing. I'm in the habit of using scissors now, anyway. ep "Polly Esther" wrote in message ...
