Another one finished!
December's been great! I just finished my third project of the month -- a
Christmas wall hanging that I started a couple of years ago. After I finished the Earnhardt quilt (which was a hit, by the way) I vowed to get some UFOs done before I started on something new. And after I finished this one, I basted another wallhanging I made from the blocks in AliceW's siggie swap last year. That'll be my "sit in front of the TV and quilt" project for January. I started a table runner for my Mom (she had seen it made up when she went to the LQS to buy a gift cert for me for Christmas and fell in love with it), and am planning a quilt for my niece's graduation in May. After spending a lot of 2004 feeling as though I was just spinning my wheels, it's so-o-o-o good to feel like I'm moving forward again! DH will be going to a friend's to watch Iowa play in the Capitol One bowl tomorrow -- and I'm going to watch it from behind my sewing machine. What a way to start 2005! Go Hawks! -- Louise in Iowa nieland4 at mchsi dot com http://community.webshots.com/user/louiseiniowa |

Yup! Go Hawks! We went to the Alamo Bowl and Orange Bowls since DD was in
the marching band. But not going this year(or last). San Antonio is a much better place to see a bowl game than Miami!!!! We will be going to the BB game tonight though. What quilt shop did your mom see the table runner in? I also should get some UFO's done before attempting any new projects. Sometimes I feel like I have crafter's ADD. One a month would be a good goal. Happy New Year to everyone! I love the stained glass one. I'm hoping to do one in the new year.

The table runner was at Connie's Quilt Shop here in Marion. She had made up
kits with the fabric used in the "model" -- I don't normally go that route, but since Mom liked it so much, who am I to argue? Of course, I also had to buy the book to get the instructions, but now that I have it, I'll probably make more anyway! -- Louise in Iowa nieland4 at mchsi dot com http://community.webshots.com/user/louiseiniowa "KJ" wrote in message news:6shBd.594903$wV.502971@attbi_s54... It really was a fun one to do. On that one, I hand stitched the bias tape
and then hand quilted the whole thing. The Noel quilt also uses bias tape -- I sewed it down by machine after the quilt was sandwiched, so it was quilted as I sewed. I think that's the way I'll do any future ones. -- Louise in Iowa nieland4 at mchsi dot com http://community.webshots.com/user/louiseiniowa "Joanna" wrote in message news:bEhBd.21887$nN6.16055@edtnps84... I'm still in awe of your Rose Sampler, and the stained glass wall hanging is
lovely! You must be thrilled! --Heidi http://community.webshots.com/user/rabbit2b "Louise" wrote in message news:xUgBd.594776$wV.118574@attbi_s54... December's been great! Good for you, Louise! I know what you mean about the WIPs (I refuse to give them UFO status yet g) -- I'm going to work more on mine in the coming weeks, though I'm also taking a class near the end of the month, which will give me yet another one. Then I'll need to get cracking on those Christmas tree skirts for next year.... -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas my ISP is earthlink.net -- put sfoster1(at) in front http://home.earthlink.net/~sfoster1 |
