A weekend spent inspiring New Quilters
I'm recovering from a weekend spent at the Manchester Mini Maker Faire
held at the Museum of Science and Industry. I spoke to lots of new quilters many of who said they were inspired to go away and continue by seeing my stuff - wow, what a buzz that has given me! I explained about sandwiching, quilting & binding, fabric choices, where I buy my fabric, what sort of sewing machine I use, why I wear gardening gloves to quilt and other topics I can no longer remember. I have put a picture of my stand on my flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/lizzyas...in/photostream Of all the quilts I took along the one that caught passing eyes was the crumb quilt - I think because of all the different colours in it. Now to try to inspire myself :-) Lizzy -- http://lizzyastro.etsy.com http://www.instructables.com/member/lizzyastro/ |
