OT - Home from the hospital
First I want to thank you all for your good wishes. There's no way to express
what that RCB hug feels like in the hospital, but it's very real and I knew you were with me. The good news is that I didn't have surgery. I had my first Chemo treatment and feel a little weak and shaky from that, but no other serious side effects, for which I am very grateful. The drugs I am taking are considered to be 70% effective in fighting this cancer. It's my understanding that that's a very high percentage. It's very possible that I will have a complete cure from the chemo alone. If there is some residual tumor at the end of the protocol, I might have a surgery at that time, but it will be a much smaller surgery than if I had had the surgery first. I feel like I am good hands. G-d's hands, Doctor's hands and RCB's hands. G It was a very scary week, but I am more than hopeful that all will turn out well. Again, thank you for everything. I love you all. Cheri (Bubbee to Emily and Nathan) |
