Default Smarty Pants Yarn

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever used or even seen Bernat Smarty Pants Yarn? I have a pattern
for a baby sweater that's in the June 15th issue of Womans Day and it calls for
that yarn. It says it's worsted weight and the gauge is 15 stitches to 4
inches on number 9 needles. Well, my problem with this is, I would have to use
a size 13 needle to get the gauge and I've always knit to gauge before with all
the sweaters that I've ever made and I've made plenty in my life. I'm wondering
if it's a bulky yarn. I've checked the Bernat website and it's not there, but
did find it on another site, but no picture to even tell. I would love to make
this baby sweater as it's all one piece, but need to know the yarn weight
first.

Hugs,

Nora

Hi Noreen,

Yes, their website doesn't even list it. I did a google search and found it but
it doesn't show or give any details so I'm at a complete lost. I tried the
gauge last night and on no. 10 needles only got 3 inches. The only thing I can
think of is that it's a thicker yarn.

Hugs,

Nora

I'll bet it's one of those terri / terry baby yarns that are getting so
popular now.
Wish I could help!

Hi Peggy,

Yes, another gal just sent it to me and I've called and ordered two different
colors from them. Thanks so much.

Hi Noreen,

As I just replied to Peggy, Janise sent me that site while we were IMing and
I've called and ordered two bags of it so I'll let you know when it arrives.
It's going to ship out this afternoon.

Hugs,

Nora

Hi Katheirne,

Since I have 12 balls of it coming I'll keep you posted. I can't wait for it
