Default selling body jewelry help

hi, i was thinking of buying body jewelry ( tongue, naval, eyebrow
jewelry etc.) in bulk and selling it out of my home. im not sure on how
to do it though. does anyone have ideas?
i hope this doesnt sound like a stupid question but what i mean is how
should i set it up, should i have certain hours or just call me etc.
also do you know how i would do jewelry parties on my own?

Before you spend any money on wholesale stock.,
you need to do your sums first.
I presume you know what your wholesale unit costs are going to be for
standard ball closure rings and the other items you mention .
then you need to look on the net for, at least half a dozen body
jewellery sites to see what the average cost of the same item as you
will be offering.
then you ask yourself the question?
is there sufficent markup to cover all the costs you will entail in
your business and leave enough for your time?
then you ask the next question,
what can I get for my time say working say, at a burger bar where you
have no investment, no overheads and no customer hassle with a pay
check every weeek for sure..
If the bar produces a better hourly rate dont touch the body jewellery
business.
Its highly competitive, people tend to buy from the piercer especially
when there stretrching up a size.
Unless tyou know exactly where and from what metal specification your
wholesaler is supplying you with, your open to product litigation if
theres an allergy problem.
theres a lot of supposedly stainless steel coming from the far east with
no guarantee of quality.
If this kind of jewellery interests you, then get some work experience
in a piercing studio to learn the trade then look at going it alone.
Hope this is of some help.

lindy.... i sell rocks gemstones, fossils, minerals, indian artifacts and
jewelry i make out of my home. also on the job, at street fairs and at
flea mkts. ithink you'll have a gr8 market at this time cuz it seems
wemen always want another hole in the head lol....seriously tho....first
thing id do is canvas vendors and get my best price.....dealing with
anything that enters the skin....ear rings navel s ets... i'd make sure
i bought a good quality product though . as yo know even gold ahs
adverse effect to different people ive seen 10 kt gold turn black on
the fingers of some women...it has to do with the chemical composition
of the body which has as many variations as the number of women
themselves... next id put out cards or flyers in every lil store,
courthouse outhouse and dog house as i could,. i sell quite a bit
sitting on a barstool at times ....you're market area is limited by your
imagination..... and your ambition.... dont make the mistake of buying
up a lot of stock at first...canvas your friends and see what they may
be interested in .....i'll look in my different supply catalogs i have
here and see whats available from my vendors i'll forward any company
names that may have anything you may be interested in .... feel free to
e-mail me directly if you'd like to communicate further....most
companies will send you a catalog for the asking some hoever do have a
nominal charge which they will deduct from your first
purchase....respectfully......ole_rascal
