binding question
I have 3 or 4 "hair clip thingies" in my battered old sewing
tin and I just turn and clip in front of where I am sewing. As I get to a clip, I move it forward to the front. I have never found any need to turn and pin an entire turned border on straight edges. Curvev can be another matter of course. -- Cheryl & the Cats in OZ o o o o o o ( Y ) ( Y ) and ( Y ) Boofhead Donut Rasputin http://community.webshots.com/user/witchofthewest catsatararatATyahooDOTcomDOTau "Denise in NH" wrote in message ... :I don't pin my binding anymore. binding question
No pins, don't need them. Just turn and sew as I go. If there's a straight
pin anywhere nearby, it's bound to enter my palm. Roberta in D schrieb im Newsbeitrag ups.com... Do you pin down your binding when you quilt by hand? I always have, every few inches, and just pull the stick pins (the ones that haven't yet stuck me in the knee, the elbow, or the thumb) out as I go. But I'm wondering if that's silly and I can just give the binding a little tug to the back as I stitch along. What do you all do? thanks, Lynn (Don't know why I waited until August to bind an extra long queen quilt...) |
