recipe for plum jam/marmelade?

We just picked almost 50 pounds of plums from our italian plum tree
(oblong, dark purple skin, yellow flesh). We bought a ton of old
marmelade jars with new lids and rings at a yard sale, and have a large
pot that DH uses to brew beer. Any good recipes? How much yield should
we expect (tree is still loaded, took the lower ones only!)
