Default Whoo-hoo

One surprising thing is that my
butt hurts, too, even though these exercise used very small moves - nothing
jarring at all. Maybe my butt will get smaller, too. (I can dream, can't
I?)

hey - sounds like a good idea to me...
if it works - more the better! LOL

at least the pain would have "extra" benefits!

You rock, Kathy! Isn't it wierd how there really is a difference between
"good" pain and "bad" pain?

keeps modeling it for me, and yelps when I make adjustments while it's still

I'll take pictures before I ship it, but I won't post them until Mary has had
the chance to see her headpiece in person, first. (That's only fair, I think)

The Egyptian cuff bracelet is about 2/3 done, and coming along nicely. After
that's done, I think I'm going to take a little break from my sculptural
stuff and make some jewelry. I have semi precious beads out the yazoo, and I
want to make some different looking things.

I'm wicked sore from physical therapy yesterday, and from doing my at home
stuff. The therapist warned me that I'd be in agony for a couple of weeks,
but I don't really mind. It feels so good to have muscles that are sore from
use, instead of the terrible bone pain I've had, and I feel like I get to do
something productive. (even if it hurts) One surprising thing is that my

As encouragement, Pete has deep tissue massage for his back injury. Painful
stuff where the tissue is relocated and realigned. This last week of
treatment, the therapist is seeing regrowth of tissue, and Pete's first real
(if tiny) improvement.

It works! The pain is worth it.

Oh, I'm so glad for Pete! He's had a tough row to hoe, and any

improvement
is a blessing.

Oh god, I hate deep tissue work! Makes me cry. I gotta go for treatment soon
and I'm dreading it.

For some things. It's not recommended for fibromyalgia, though. It can
actually hurt you. Vigorous Shiatsu isn't even good for it. (So be warned --
not good for everything. Check with a pro first.)

That reminds me of when I was given a foot massage. I was in a group and
the massage people were demonstrating on me. It was very uncomfortable, but
the woman was a "professional". And she kept telling me she could feel
blockages/lumps in my foot from the bottom, so I let her keep digging away
and I put up with the pain. Well, she didn't know what she was doing.
Basically I ended up with interior bruises in my feet. It took several days
for it to stop hurting.

As Sooz says, check with a pro, or even two.
