I beg your pardon, I am NOT late ... I just want to you to run *again*!!!

How can you even entertain the thought of "giving up?!!" We need you.
America needs you! Think of the humanity ... the causes ... the
opportunities to shop for fabric in foreign countries at taxpayer's
expense!!

And of course, you could give tax incentives to quilters ... and to those
who are thinking about quilting (no taxes this year if you finish two
quilts)!!

A sewing machine in every hobby room and 2 yards of fabric in every stash!!
(with deep apologies to Roosevelt -- I think)

Please! Pretty, pretty, pretty, please?!

Polly was 'expecting'. My Campaign Manager decided NOT to come to the US

Not just *your* opinion. This go, it's definitely a case of choosing
between
three evils.
*sigh*

We need a quilter to run for prezzie. Ummm ... Butterfly?? Helloooo??
You're
already "going on the road" -- why can't you turn your trip into
stumping???

Please??

Interesting to see the definitions given. I have always heard and

used
it with a slightly different meaning: fear or intolerance of
'foreigners'. I just checked in my dictionary, and that is the

meaning
given there, too. It does put a slightly different complexion on the
word, especially when used politically.
Words are so fascinating - especially the 'derived from Greek' ones.

So far as Mr Spitzer, one can only assume that the lady is very very
good at what she does. (G)

Now we are going to have a new governor here in NY.
He looks like he may be something of an improvement.

NightMist
voted for a oddball candidate in that election because I thought

both
the main players were jerks

These

There was great attention placed on racism and xenophobia. They

What a day.
I like the new makeup. Polly

That's the definition I found too, Patti, and is most likely the
one
that
applies. Although I don't know how it was used, it may have been

used
more loosely in context. Polly?

I did read your other answers, Polly!
Interesting to see the definitions given. I have always heard

and
used
it with a slightly different meaning: fear or intolerance of
'foreigners'. I just checked in my dictionary, and that is the
meaning
given there, too. It does put a slightly different complexion on

the
word, especially when used politically.
Words are so fascinating - especially the 'derived from Greek'

ones.

Default OT one more new word

Yeah...I'd like mine to be invisible...especially when I drop a word as in
my last message. Geez. "as dumb as THEY think".

Oh, Lordy, I really don't want to think about some of the things my kids'd
see that I wrote!! Some things should just die gracefully, and my usenet
scribblings definitely fit that category!!!

Howzabout you??!
