Default OT happy birthday Pati was changing the order

Happy Birthday to you Pati. Hop you are having a great week.
I sure 'needed' some cake earlier today. Hope yours will be
chocolate.

Default OT Madness takes its toll was changing the order

Remember the list I made a few days ago:

Well, like I said, Man plans, God laughs.

Your list sounds almost as mad as mine!

(snipped for the sake of sanity... as if that actually applies!)

I had this odd notion that I was going to do some weeding and perhaps
a bit of knitting today. Hah!

1) Ash ran completely amok. He misses his schoolbus, he wants to GO!
2) A desperate "I didn't know I needed.." call had me running over to
a gentleman's house to wrap him in duct tape. (corset pattern)
3)Mended Ash's quilt. Kiri washed it and a tiny tear that I had been
procrastinating about fixing got notably bigger. Had to tend it before
the batting started leaking. Of course Ash was all over me while I was
doing it.
4) took delivery of a pair of leather jackets that I will replace the
linings of. Also took specifications from the female half of the
couple, which I was advised by her DH to ignore and just do it right
in red.
5) Discovered that DH had not slept in about 36 hours because his
clients were having serial crises, and packed him off to bed.
6) Kiri was on a housecleaning spree because her mom is coming to
visit and will arrive tomorrow. So I had to inspect the washer because
she was certain it was mildewing, show DD how to clean the kitchen
sink properly (whereupon I discovered that the faucet is actually a
Peerless but had been installed backwards. No idea how I missed that
before this.), look at any number of odd bits about the house and
render an opinion, and praise the wierd Scotch-Brite thingie that kiri
bought to clean the bathroom floor.
7) made waffles and eggs for supper at almost midnight. Darn it! I was
not doing anything more complicated that late, and it was my turn.

Ash did not nap all day, got up at about 6:00 am, and started getting
_cranky_ at about 5:00 pm, didn't go to sleep till after supper.
Which is part of why it was so very late.

And every cat in the house decided that they had to be on the other
side of every door, no matter which side they were on three seconds
ago.

NightMist
getting a shower and going to BED!

Not sure what kind of cake I will make in a bit. Not sure what I have
on hand and waiting for overdue checks means $$$ are in very short
supply right now.

Default OT happy birthday Pati

Howdy!

In your honor I stopped by The Flying Needle yesterday
http://www.theflyingneedle.net/
and did my part to celebrate.

Okay, so I didn't know it was your birthday week, well, not specifically,
anyway. But there's always a quilter somewhere having a birthday, right?
And there I was, and there was the quilt shop, and there my m-i-l was,
happy to go in with me (she got some Thank You cards)---
well, I do my part to honor my quilty friends.

Happy Birthday, Pati.
Celebrate for at least a week.

Thanks, Sandy. BG
Glad to know you are helping the economy and keeping good quilt shops in
business.
Will celebrate more later..... may get to go to dinner tonight (a check
came in, but not the one we are waiting for. )

That really is kind of sad. Makes you wonder what they are teaching in high
school.

Yep, but he has been out of school since 1983, so I guess they wanted
him to learn how the programs and classes work at their school...all
online classes, proper way to submit tests and homework, etc.

Howdy!

Glad to help. g

These are the nicest folks, too.
A few years ago I called them to ask "which local florist do you
recommend?" and they helped; now they remember me. g
M-i-l discovered she lives down the street from one of the
quilters who works there. Well, Stephenville is a small city,
I figured most everyone knows each other. g

Hope you're feeling better, TL.
Btw, anytime I spend time in bed my back is there with me. ggg

Cheers!
