This is what you get for not following my advice to stuff them in a bag at

Man, you are so right. Then I could have just pressed one of the wadded
up blocks and been done with it.

At least I didn't follow the advice of a couple of people to cut them up
and turn them into something else. Then I would have had to make a new
one.

You've got the right idea, Wendy. Mary Ellen Hopkins advised us: If you
have a project you cannot seem to complete, get a nice big box, line it
in acid-free tissue, put in the project, and mark the box "For (son
name)'s wife" and then put it back of the closet for your survivors to
handle! 8^) Nancycog in MD

I can show you in person Thursday...unless I'm stuck home working on an
applique block ;-)

Oh, do! I'll be there Thursday and Friday (class all day on Thursday with
Melody Johnson).

can't you use the whole top as a sample?

Howl. No, I think you should make a new block -- or use the faded one

since you can point out what happens to fabrics exposed to too much
sunlight. Finish your own project, though! Don't take one of those
blocks to the shop,or it will fade, too! g

The faded one is no more. Only the background had faded and I didn't
have enough applique fabrics for another block so I picked off all the
pieces and appliqued them to a new background.

This isn't the faded block shop. I was teaching the class at two shops
and I finished the edges differently so I know where the fading happened.

Shoot, this pattern just won't go away.

What top? I have four blocks with lots of little triangles around them.
No border yet. No applique on the border. Doesn't match the pattern
anymore with my triangle changes......
