Default Need help from Pfaff users....

I'm looking to buy a Quilter's Toolbox off Craigslist. What I want is the
extension table. My LQS has one for my 2030 but they want more than $230
for it! The one on Craigslist in new in the box -- she never used it and I
can get it for a GREAT price.

The picture on the front of the box is of stippling... and the label says
"2000 series" == but is this the 2030...2040 series... or the newer
machines?

Will this fit? Does anyone here have the Quilter's toolbox -- is there
anything else on the box that might help me figure out if it will fit my
2030?

Thanks

Kate

Is there a local Pfaff dealer you can call? Can you ask your LQS if they
can help?

Kate - You can get a Sew Steady table for your Pfaff for around $85.00. Here
is the link to the manufacturers site:

http://dreamworld-inc.com/

I have them for each of my machines. I think they are a better product than
what comes with the Quilters Toolbox. If you already have the foot for free
motion quilting, you don't need the toolbox.

You can Google Sew Steady tables and see all the places that carry them.
They are all made to order and are machine specific.

HTH!

Ditto to what Laurie G. said. except they're $50 here in several sizes.
IMHO, QT is not worth the price.

Tip, the Pfaff darning foot is not ideal for free motion; it is a true
darning foot, not a hopping foot. I highly recommend you pick up a low
shank Big Foot. Should be available at your LQS. Looks like this -

(I don't work for the company, in spite of my email addy.)

I'm not sure about this tip about the darning foot - there is indeed a
dedicated darning foot for the Pfaffs, however there is also a dedicated
free-motion foot (comes in the tool kit, but you can also get it
separately). The free-motion foot certainly works fine for quilting - at
least for me.

BTW, I never got friendly with the hand-hold thingy in the tool kit, so
I certainly would say don't bother for the sake of that - but again,
some people must like it?
