Default name of clasp?

A few years ago it was fashionable to take a couple of small beaded
necklaces, twist them and secure each end with a (about 1.5inch) a clasp.
The clasp looked like an oval and opened and one side of the twisted
necklace was secured, put around the neck and then the other end was
secured. I have many such necklaces left (about 24-36" in length) but have
lost the clasps that secure same around the neck. I don't know what this
clasp was called and have been unable to find same at jewelry supply
companies on the net. Does anyone remember the name of it or know what I am
talking about? Or better yet, where I can obtain same?
Your help is appreciated.
