I am really happy to report that the queen size quilt I made as a fundraiser
for our local Counselling Centre, raised $2220. I am on their Board of
Directors and thought this was a way I could make a contribution. Sure feels
good!

Wow! That *is* a good amount - and probably fairly close to the value
of the quilt in fabrics, batting and work. Do you know where it's gone?

Thanks to everyone for your kind words...the young gal who won the quilt
really appreciates quilts (and has her eye on her grandmothers' antique
collection.) The woman who won the second prize of $500 asked the first
prize winner if she would consider swapping prizes. She said "Not a chance,
I really wanted that quilt!" Made my heart sing
I will try to add pics to my community webpage but honestly I cannot
remember how to move my photos from I-photo to the webpage...now that's
embarrassing!
